About me

I am a freelance editor with more than 30 years of experience in the publishing industry. Before freelance life, I was the publishing director for a children's book publisher. Managing a team of editors, I helped to deliver 100 illustrated titles each year. 

Since starting a freelance career in 2023, I've worked on many brilliant books for children and adults, with projects that use a wide range of editorial skills, from proofreading to project management. I’ve also been commissioned to write and research several children’s non-fiction titles on topics such as our planet, wildlife, prehistoric life, and the importance of communities, all of which have been published.

Books and writing are a huge part of my life. Since childhood, I've surrounded myself with books, and there is nothing I love more than researching non-fiction subjects for writing and editing projects.

My favourite pastime is to plan escapes to beautiful parts of the UK with my partner and our dogs. I am happiest when hiking, climbing and eating my way around stunning locations. This picture is in North Wales, 2022.
