Can you spot the Labrador?

I am a freelance editor with more than 30 years of experience in the publishing industry. Before freelance life, I was the publishing director for a children's book publisher. Managing a team of editors, I helped to deliver 100 illustrated titles each year. 

Since starting a freelance career in 2023, I've worked on many brilliant books for children and adults, with projects using a broad range of editorial skills. I am currently writing a series of non-fiction books for 6 to 8-year-olds, due for publication this year.

Books and writing are a huge part of my life. Since childhood, I've surrounded myself with books. During my publishing career, I've written lots of non-fiction for children. I have recently written two children's encyclopedias that are due for publication in 2024.

My favourite thing is to plan escapes to beautiful parts of the UK with my partner and our dog. I am happiest when hiking, climbing and eating my way around stunning locations. This picture is in North Wales, 2022.
